Coyote Teeth
Also referred to as Coyote Zan, the Coyote Teeth pepper is a productive Brazilian variety It has a heat level of 60,000 to 100,000 SHU. Heat wise it is similar to Thai peppers – but flavor wise Coyote Teeth, C. chinense, is more similar to a milder habanero. The thinner walled fruit measure about 1 inch, ripening from light green to bright white. The compact plant grows about 2 ft tall.? It can yield nearly a hundred peppers!
These peppers have a fruity habanero like taste with sharp, lingering heat. You can do a lot with them, from drying, grinding into powders, or as a hot sauce base and marinades. A personal OP favorite: Infused into oils and vinegars for spicy condiments.
