Fading Buckeye

Fading Buckeye is a mild Capsicum chinense biquinho-type pepper. We noticed one of our white biquinhos ripening to red. This variety is now in its third consecutive year with stable, consistent traits, we consider it ready for public release.

The small, teardrop-shaped pods are crisp and lightly sweet with just a little heat, around 5,000 SHU. It’s a solid all-around utility pepper and crazy productive. It’s easy to chop fresh into dishes, blend into hot sauce, or dry for a mild pepper flake.
