Clemson Spineless Okra

Clemson Spineless okra is a classic Southern garden staple. This one is personal for me. I grew up in the South, and okra was always part of the garden. Fried okra was a given, and it still is. Nowadays thinks to be air fryer, fried okra is much more easily accessible and a bit better for the heart!

Most of what we grow and sell tends to be peppers or pepper-adjacent crops like tomatoes. Okra is a little different, but not complicated. It likes heat. A lot of heat. Direct sow when the ground is warm, Mid to late May for us. Plants grow tall, often 4 feet or more, and keep producing as long as it stays warm. Pods need to be harvested young. Let them go too long and they get tough.
