Czech Black is a nice mild pepper with an ornamental twist. The fruit grow black when young and eventually ripen to a maroon red. The dark pods really stand out on the plant, especially before they begin changing color.

Heat wise, this pepper is in line with a jalapeno. For culinary use, it can also be used very similar to a jalapeno. Stuffing, roasting, and pickling are all great options for this pepper, along with just eating it straight up!

It is a good choice if you want something that looks a little unusual in the garden but is still useful in the kitchen. Nothing complicated here. Just a good looking, mild pepper with plenty of uses.
