Purple UFO is an ornamental-leaning Capsicum annuum with small, flying-saucer-shaped pods. The fruit starts purple and eventually ripens red.

Plants are bushy, dark-leaved, and productive. Flavor is a little tangy with some fruitiness once fully ripe. Heat can vary quite a bit by strain, but usually falls somewhere around 10,000 to 40,000 SHU.

The burn tends to hit quickly and fade fairly fast. These work well fresh, pickled, or blended into sauces. Honestly, the shape and color are a big part of the appeal here.
