Big Thai
Big Thai, an annuum, is, as the name describes, big. It has long, slender pods that ripen from green to red. Heat is in the 50K SHU range based on a rough taste estimate… any error would be on the lower side of heat). As always, growing conditions are going to also play a role in the exact heat expression.
If you know Thai peppers, you already know what it is used for: fresh cooking, drying, flakes, and sauces. This particular line we are selling is a stabilized selection that originally came from a Big Thai F1 hybrid. Think of it as what you get when you grow out the offspring from a hybrid and keep selecting the plants that match the original hybrid traits, generation after generation. After 4 years of selection, the phenotype has mostly stabilized to the target!
