Chiltepin x Lemon Drop

Chiltepin × Lemon Drop is a predominantly Capsicum baccatum interspecies cross we are offering from our fifth generation, with the last three generations showing strong stabilization toward a consistent, high-quality phenotype. The plants produce small, crunchy red fruits with a round shape and slight taper. They have classic crisp /crunchy baccatum fruit traits, with a surprisingly bright, apple-like flavor. Heat is not too bad, fairly manageable… we estimate around the 20,000 SHU range.

This is an early and highly productive variety that performs well for fresh use, snacking, and light sauces, and it represents a refined, flavorful expression of this cross that we’re excited to continue sharing.
