Giant Aconcagua
Giant Aconcagua is a sweet Argentine pepper with no real heat. The main draw is the size. Pods can get huge, sometimes pushing 12 inches long.
The fruit are juicy with a fresh, fruity sweetness. Leave them on the plant longer and they get even sweeter as they fully ripen.
Growing
Plants usually stay around 24 to 36 inches tall and produce well through the season. With fruit this large, a little support is not a bad idea once the plants start loading up.
Uses
We like Giant Aconcagua for roasting, stuffing, and grilling. The big pods give you plenty to work with, and the sweetness really comes through once cooked.
