Guam Boonies
Guam Boonies is a C. frutescens, the same species as Tabasco. The peppers are very small, ripen red, and can reach close to 100,000 SHU.
They are used in Chamorro cooking, the traditional cuisine of Guam and the Mariana Islands. One of the classic uses is fina’denne’, a salty, spicy dipping sauce usually made with soy sauce, citrus or vinegar, onion, and hot peppers.
For such a small pepper, these carry a surprising amount of heat.
