Looks like a yellow scotch bonnet and is often confused for one by many gardeners. The Jamaican Mushroom has scotch bonnet style heat and a brilliant citrus flavor. Size is slightly larger than a scotch bonnet and is an annuum species, most obviously seen in the larger calyx, where the stem meets the fruit.
150000ish SHU. This is an estimate. Scoville ratings will change based on growing conditions.

This one was by far one of the easiest peppers I’ve ever grown. Big healthy plant with no pest or disease issues. Makes gardening easier when it’s a fuss free plant.
It does have a mild sweetness, but does have a classic pepper flavor. I used this in a jam and the pepper flavor shines without being overpowering. Dehydrated and made some nice flakes to use for later in other culinary dishes. The heat, for me, is fairly mild when cooked and doesn’t burn much. Solid plant for any pepper grower and great as a pepper plant for beginners.
I will most definitely grow again!
