Purple Pumpkin

The Purple Pumpkin pepper (Capsicum annuum) is a stunning variety, with a cute name.  This is one of the peppers that will go through a significant color change as it ripens.   Fruit start deep purple, transitions to peach-pink, and ripens to bright red. With a medium heat level between a jalapeno and serrano, it is perfect for adding a kick to meals or growing as an eye-catching ornamental. These peppers grow upright on productive plants, some with variegated leaves.  Expect dark ribbing in stems and foliage, adding to the unique look.
