Tekne Dolması
Tekne Dolması is a Turkish stuffing pepper in Capsicum annuum. It’s essentially heat-free. The pods are large, typically 6–8 inches, flattened or boat-shaped. They have thicker walls that hold their shape during cooking. A part of that (and it’s namesake) is that they’re grown specifically for dolma-style dishes. That’s a cooking style where peppers are hollowed out, filled with rice, meat, herbs, and spices, then cooked slowly until tender.
