Chernobyl Jalapeno

Chernobyl Jalapeno is an annuum. It is a jalapeno-labeled type with very long fruit. Ten inches or more is common. The pods are stretched out long and are a little misshapen… honestly that fits the name. Flesh is thick. Heat is usually very mild. Think around 500 to 1,500 SHU. Most people find it closer to a sweet pepper than a true jalapeno. It works well for roasting, stuffing, and slicing fresh.
