Chocolate Hand Grenade

The chocolate hand grenade is a fun twist on the Chocolate habanero.  It is the result of selective breeding of the chocolate hab for taste, with the outcome being a brown habanero in a wild funky shape.  Keep this plant well fertilized with full sun – it will reward you with massive bounties of fruit! The chocolate habanero is renowned for productivity – but the Chocolate Hand Grenade produces earlier in SW Ohio. Very thick flesh. Sauces and jams were made for this cultivar. Or, simmer it down into a dish! The flavor is top notch. Yum!
