NuMex Lota Lutein

The NuMex LotaLutein is a serrano-type pepper developed by New Mexico State University. It stands out for its high lutein content, which is a nutrient that supports eye health. The peppers turn from green to bright yellow when ripe, offering a unique color compared to standard red serranos.

The plant is compact, growing about 14–18 inches tall, and produces a lot of peppers on each plant. These peppers have a medium heat level, around 30K Scoville Heat Units. They are a good option for gardeners or farmers looking for a healthy, productive pepper variety.
