Pimenta Bela Purple

Pimenta Bela Purple is a compact Portuguese superhot variety that first came around a handful of years ago. It has dark foliage and a high yields of slender pods that ripen a crazy ‘Barney’ purple.  Definitely one of the more unique peppers out there!

Plants typically reach 40–70 cm and produce consistently throughout the season. I see online chatter of 80,000 to 120,000 SHU for this pepper… I’m going to personally call that out as nonsense.  They have a sharp, fruity burn that feels north of 500K, and getting into low ghost range.
