Sangria
The Sangria pepper is a compact, bushy ornamental plant that produces upright-growing fruit. The fruit start off light with a purple tinge and ripen through a spectrum of colors to a bright red. While they look similar to a Thai pepper, Sangria peppers have a heat level comparable to a jalapeño. These peppers are perfect for making a mild Southern-style vinegar condiment. Extremely prolific when nurtured properly—keep them picked to encourage more colorful, decorative, and edible fruit.
As a slight aside, nothing quite like asking your artists to draw a picture of sangria and having to explain to elementary aged daughters that sangria is a cup of superfruited grape juice with fruit in it. 🤷🏻 🤣
I think it’s a parenting win?
