Aji Rainforest

The Aji Rainforest pepper (Capsicum baccatum) is a chili variety originating from the Brazilian rainforest. The plant is vigorous, reaching heights up to 5 feet.  It yields small, bell-shaped peppers that mature from green to orange, and finally to bright red. The fruit have a crispy texture and a sweet, citrus-like flavor. The heat varies greatly based on growing conditions, but expect heat in the 25K SHU range, plus or minus 10K!

Snacking, pickling, salsa – not too hot, not too mild.  Aji rainforest may be the perfect pepper.
