The Early Jalapeno is a variant of the classic Jalapeno pepper, distinguished by its early ripening and suitability for cooler coastal climates. These dark-green, thick-walled peppers, measuring about 3 inches in cone-shaped form, ripen to red and are hottest when fully ripe, reaching 4,000 to 6,000 Scoville units. They can be consumed at the green stage and are ideal for Mexican dishes and pickling. The plant typically grows 20 to 24 inches tall with a diameter of 10 to 12 inches, making it a perfect size for both garden and container-growing​​​
